The beautiful China carpets are often single-coloured (blue or beige/mustard yellow), in harmonious colors with a modern look. The decorative elements in the China carpets have symbolic meaning and they are knotted in fine, soft wool. The knot density of Chinese carpets is measured in lines. This corresponds to the number of strings in the warp one can find in the size of a foot, measured in the width of the carpet. For example, 90 lines amount to: about 90 000 warp strings/sqm.
