Moud

Soft, fine and thin… In the small village of Moud, in the north east of Iran, some of the finest oriental carpets are produced. The wool is of the highest quality and they are both thin and tightly knotted. The Persian knot is used and some carpets enhance the pattern with silk details. The most common designs are Moud mahi, a full herati pattern, with or without a sun flower shaped central medallion and Moud Garden, a stylized garden design.
